My face used to look like it was permanently embarrassed about something. Red, reactive, flushing at the wrong temperature. Then I fell deep into K-beauty, and a handful of products calmed it down more than I expected.

Where should you start with Korean skincare for rosacea?

With one or two products, not ten. I know a list of ten makes you want to buy the lot, and I did exactly that. It was chaos. When you've brought in fourteen new things in one week you can't tell what's working, you've just got a very expensive shelf and no useful information.

Pick one or two, and give them real time before you add anything else.

If I had to pick one

The Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream. It was one of the first K-beauty products I tried, because it turned up in every sensitive skin list I clicked on, and I was sceptical. It's one of the calmest moisturisers I've put on my face. The blue comes from guaiazulene, which is an anti-inflammatory, and after a rough day when my face is doing its red thing, it's what I reach for. Rich without feeling greasy, and it hasn't broken me out once.

Don't forget the sunscreen

My original list of ten had no sunscreen on it, which is a big gap, because sun is one of the most commonly reported rosacea triggers there is. I've since read the labels on ten Korean ones (that's its own post now).

The full ten, and where to buy each one, are in my 10 Korean skincare products that helped my rosacea post. The sunscreen side is in my best Korean sunscreen post.
