Is Body Badalada the same as Bum Bum Cream?
No. Body Badalada is Sol de Janeiro's body lotion line. It comes in pump bottles rather than the tub, in three different textures, and each one carries a different Cheirosa scent. Only the 62 shares its scent with the original Bum Bum Cream.
Side by side, the Badalada 62 feels lighter and sinks in quicker than Bum Bum Cream, which is the point of it. It's still the heaviest of the three lotions though (lighter than Bum Bum Cream is a lower bar than it sounds).
What do the numbers mean?
They're scent names, not lotion names. Cheirosa 62 is also the mist, the hair fragrance and the Bum Bum Cream scent, so searching "62" on its own brings up a wall of perfume. If it's the lotion you want, type Body Badalada.
Which one to buy
If you love a rich, wrap-you-up cream, the 62. If you want something that disappears instantly, especially when it's warm, the 48. If your skin needs some barrier support under a gorgeous scent, the 39 is quietly the smartest buy of the three.
